Data Entry Clerk
Full-Time, Temporary Position (5 Months); Poster #2017- 46
REPORTS TO: Project Lead
BAND: 1 (Included in the General Bargaining Unit)
SALARY: $22.59 - $25.03 per hour (37.5 hours per week)
POSTING DATE: July 25, 2017 (Internal/External)
CLOSING DATE: August 31, 2017 (Internal), or until a suitable candidate is found (External)

Reporting to the Project Lead, Maintenance System Replacement; the Data Entry role is accountable for collecting commercial data, reviewing data on maintenance and operational assets and materials, and data entry of information. This includes working as part of a data collection team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the entered information. Effectively communicating with internal stakeholders and vendors on requirements, and having a clear understanding of priorities for collected data will be essential for success in this role.
• Review collected data to ensure information is complete
• Collect all additional information required, ensuring completeness and accuracy of required fields
• Check and cleanse data to fix any errors (spelling, missing or bad values, etc.)
• Prepare and sort data in accordance with established priorities for the purpose of data entry
• Perform data entry using set procedures for inventory and job plans
• Verify entered data, and make corrections immediately to ensure 100% accuracy of data going in the system
• Confer with supervisor regarding incomplete information
• Provide updates to supervisor on work progress

Special Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma
• Preference will be given to related post-secondary education
• Minimum of 2 years of engineered asset data maintenance experience and inventory/materials experience
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Office products
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and accountable; demonstrating a willingness to contribute to team efforts in a positive manner
• Must secure and maintain appropriate airport security clearance and acceptable criminal records check.
