HALO Bistro|Bar is Edmonton’s newest alternative for individuals looking for a trendy upscale dining experience. Offering both traditional and locally indigenous menu options, HALO is truly a unique dining experience that emphasizes urban culture with a modern flair. The ambassadors of HALO will operate the 100 seat bar and 100 seat restaurant to ensure that all dining guests receive the best possible experience.
•Day bartender will receive and check liquor against previous night's requisitions. Any discrepancies with the receiving order are brought to the attention of the beverage manager. Night bartender will requisition liquor to bring pars up in accordance with the par sheets.
•At no time should you leave the bar area unless properly relieved by a manager, supervisor or another bartender.
•Assist night bar attendant with mopping floors, cans and general sanitation to include; speed rails, counters, melting ice in bins and wiping all stainless.
•Have available the Renaissance standard recipes, beverage department standard operating procedures, sanitation checklist and other relevant paperwork and forms.
•Night bartender will be responsible for bar security and loss prevention in his/her area of responsibilities.
•Assist bar attendant in setting up bar, unlocking liquor, icing, glassware, juices and garnish set-up.
•Accept drink orders from food and beverage servers in proper calling order to keep service bar at optimum level of service for our guest.
•Red-line all drink orders, checking for correct number of drinks and correct pricing. No drinks to be made without pre-rung guest check.
•Total compliance with conditions as outlined in Beverage Service Conditional Work Agreement.
•All cocktails are to be made in accordance with Renaissance standard recipes and/or Old Mr. Boston Bar Guide using the standard jigger at all times.
•Service guests promptly, hospitably and efficiently, when working on a front bar.
•To serve our guests in accordance with Renaissance standards of food and beverage quality, presentation and sanitation, in a gracious and professional manner.
•To display Aggressive Hospitality and professionalism with guests, management and co-workers. To take pride in all aspects of service, quality, appearance, cleanliness towards yourself and your area of responsibility.
•To serve our guests both food and beverage; to service servers via the service bar. To comply with Beverage Department Standard Operating Procedures and to conduct yourself in accordance with A Bartender Do's and Don'ts Guidelines.
