We are looking to fill our Renaissance Brand Ambassador (Lead Navigator) position!
Renaissance Navigators use their passion for discovery to add creativity and originality to the way they deliver unique and personalized experiences. The Navigator is an innovator, always challenging the status quo; they are relentless explorers, constantly seeking out the latest and greatest in local happenings; and of course they are relationship builders, continually nurturing and expanding their networks. The Navigator is a key position within the Renaissance brand.
Current Lead Navigator: “When I tell people ‘I’m the Lead Navigator at Renaissance,’ I usually get a funny look back and I’m asked to explain what exactly I do. Over time, I’ve realized the easiest way to explain my role at the hotel is that I make sure everyone - staff, guests, or even a passerby – gets a taste of what the Renaissance Lifestyle is about. It’s about celebrating being independently minded, being a little outside the box, and finding fun in everything we do. I get to spend my day helping guests make their stay or meeting more memorable than they thought possible. I create partnerships with the city’s coolest entrepreneurs to bring one-of-a-kind events at the hotel and around the area alive. I get to work with every person in the hotel and learn more about hospitality, promotions, and marketing every day. It’s the perfect place to be for someone who can’t sit still and always wants to try something new!”
The Renaissance guest is a Discoverer, seeking out new, unique experiences wherever they travel. The Navigator’s role is to guide guests to authentic local discoveries by sharing hand-picked recommendations for the best places to savor, sip, shop and see. We are looking for an individual that is extremely passionate about the locale – someone who takes pride in their expertise, their community relationships, and their up-to-date knowledge of trends in beverage, food, art culture, and events. The Navigator will use knowledge and expertise to build, maintain and update a catalog of local offerings – from restaurants and bars, to shops and museum exhibits, and everything in between. •Manage and lead the Navigator program by maintaining an up to date knowledge and inventory of local discoveries to share with guests and other ambassadors.
•Be a brand ambassador at local events to promote and educate the public about the Renaissance lifestyle brand.
•Plan and organize the Global Day of Discovery by partnering with local businesses, vendors and suppliers.
•Coordinate charitable initiatives, events and donations.
•Create content for external communications including blogs, social media, marketing collateral and sales initiatives.
•Build relationships and awareness with local businesses.
•Process Elite Rewards Member guest check-in process.
Post-secondary education in communications, marketing or related business field is preferred.
Flexible availability including days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays as required.
