Description
Menzies Aviation Canada Ltd at YEG is looking to fill FULL TIME Aircraft Refueller positions. Starting Wage is $19.65/hr with Yellow RAIC, $20.30/hr with Red RAIC.
Fuel Services
We are the world’s largest independent aviation fuelling services provider with over 3,000 people working for us globally. Our fuels business provides fuel storage management and into-plane fueling services for oil companies, airports, and airlines at many of the world’s largest airports. As a member of our Fueling team you will be responsible for the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircraft. You will need a valid Class 5 Alberta or equivalent provincial drivers license and a clear driving record (No graduated license). You will be driving and operating a fueling truck, and handling bulky fuel hoses, and climbing a ladder to attach the fuel hose to the plane.
You will need to be able to perform simple mathematical functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with regards to weight, measurement and volume as part of the job is to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions as they pertain to fueling. You will be required to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
We cross-train our employees so you may be expected to work in other areas of the operation. While previous experience may be beneficial, it is not required as we provide classroom and on the job paid training to ensure you are fully trained for your new position prior to starting.
Starting wage is $19.65, or $20.30 with Red Pass. Plus Shift differential for afternoon and night shifts.
Health and Welfare benefits will start after successfully completing a 120 day probation. 2 Weeks annual vacation.
This is a union position.
Uniforms and all required PPE will be supplied.
Special Requirements
To be part of our high performing team, you will need to be at least 18 years of age, be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently and have authorization to work in Canada. Please provide a recent driver's abstract along with your resume.
All airport staff working airside must be badged by the relevant airport authority. In order to obtain an airport identification badge you will need to pass all background checks.
The job is a physical job and requires lifting up to 30kgs, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and frequent kneeling. The job is primarily is done outdoors which will require you to work in all weather conditions. A flexible schedule is needed due to the ever changing airline schedules.
