WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping Team here at the Renaissance!
This position is a permanent full time position and pays $16.90 an hour for a minimum of 32 hours a week or part time for 16 to 20 hours a week.

POSITION PROFILE
Laundry Attendants are responsible for the sorting, washing and folding of towels and linens. General clean up duties include sweeping, mopping and organization of laundry rooms and storage area. Associates in the housekeeping department should be able to work with minimum supervision while being aware of their surroundings for health and safety concerns.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designate times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load.
• Maintain accurate records of items laundered.
• Folding various size towels and bed linens.
• Sorting dirty linens for washing.
• General clean up and organization of laundry room.
• Always be professional and ethical in dealing with guests, associates, vendors and other departments.
• Be accountable and responsible of the cleanliness of uniform.
• Is familiar with and follows all hotel safety and accident prevention procedures.
• Follow provided checklists to ensure that all standards are maintained consistently.
• Report any issues to supervisors or maintenance.
• Come to work on time and ready to start every day.
• Work in partnership with other departments.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

• Physical Demands – Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e. g., to identify defects). Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
