We are seeking a Crew Scheduler to join the Flight Operations Division. This position primarily encompasses aspects of current, or day of, flight crew scheduling and travel coordination, and also includes some advance flight crew planning. Reporting to the Manager, Crew Planning and Records, our ideal candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to stay organized while working independently.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
Day to day manipulation of the crew schedule, based on sickness, schedule changes, mechanical delays and unforeseen circumstances, taking into account the flight crew qualifications, CARS duty regulations and the Collective Agreement;
Continual contact with maintenance control, flight following, flight operations and flight crew members to ensure good flow of information;
Ensure crew scheduling software is continually updated and address any potential concerns in a timely manner;
Complete flight crew member shift trades as required, including the notification of all affected parties;
Secure all necessary accommodations including, but not limited to, ground transportation, hotel and flight reservations;
Negotiate and maintain hotel and ground transportation contracts as the need arises;
Liaise with hotel properties/transportation companies to discuss concerns;
Act as back up for crew planning and crew records;
Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Crew Planning and Records;
Complying with the Company safety policies and procedures for employees found in the SMS Manual and Occupational Health and Safety Manual.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations an asset;
Flight crew scheduling and/or operation control center experience preferred, including experience with aviation related software (eg; crew scheduling software);
Experience with Microsoft Office Products specifically Word, Outlook and Excel.
While this is primarily a Monday to Friday schedule the successful applicant must be available to work occasionally during evenings, nights and weekends, depending on our operations. If you have proven skills as a detailed oriented team player, we encourage you to apply to join us!
