WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB

Welcome to HALO Bistro|Bar—the freshest hotspot for chic dining in Edmonton! HALO serves up both traditional and locally inspired dishes, making it a culinary adventure like no other. As a Restaurant Host, you'll be the maestro of our 100-seat bar and 100-seat restaurant, ensuring each guest is treated to an unforgettable experience.

Some of your duties will include:
• Greet and seat guests with warmth and enthusiasm, ensuring a speedy and delightful experience, following Renaissance hotels standards.
• Set the stage for top-notch hospitality that continues throughout every meal.
• Assign stations and supervise seating arrangements to ensure fair distribution among servers and maintain smooth guest flow while keeping track of guest names for volume per hour.
• Keep the restaurant entrance welcoming and pristine, ensuring a spotless first impression.
• Check in with guests to gather feedback and resolve any issues promptly, ensuring a flawless experience.
• Ensure table spotlessness, by removing spots on tables, silverware, glassware, and the carpet as well as ensuring all chairs are free from crumbs.
• Showcase your expertise by guiding guests through our menu, wine selections, city, and hotel services knowledge with flair, to assist in giving helpful suggestions.
• Assist servers with service, breaks, maintain cleanliness, and ensure all tasks and chesklists are completed to perfection.
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries and manage reservations.

Special Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED
